Deviousness Award

Marta "`blackeri" Dahlig has been with deviantART since early 2003 and in that time has become one of the most recognizable faces on the site, creating instantly identifiable pieces, such as her near legendary seven deadly sins line, as well as dozens upon dozens of other exquisitely crafted pieces of art.

In an ocean of millions it is not easy to stand out like she does, and even more impressive is that she still finds the time to let everyone know she appreciates their feedback, and even better, takes time to make sure she goes and adds her own feedback to up and coming artists and gives encouraging words of advice where needed.
So go and say hello and check out her stunning work, and give her a congrats for being as devious as it gets for April of 2008!

Firstly, congratulations on your recent wedding, you looked so beautiful.

But now for the reason I'm writing to you - I recently came across your art and thought it was absolutely stunning; the characters are beautifully designed down to every little detail.

I was wondering if you'd allow me to use some of the characters you've created as inspiration for my new novel series. It's in the fantasy genre and I'm planning to personify the seven deadly sins and would love to use one or two of your 7DS women as inspiration for the characters' image.

I will completely understand if you do not wish for me to base my characters on your creations, but I figured there was no harm in asking.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Congratulations on your recent marriage. I wish you both much happiness and bliss.

I can't thank you enough for all of your tutorials and workshops that have appeared in various magazines & websites (especially ImagineFX). They have been invaluable, and I look forward to learning something new every time a new one is published.

Beautiful artwork. As a huge fan of Mucha and Art Nouveau, I love how you incorporate those elements in your work.

Your artwork is very lovely, and I was wondering, if you ever got enough time because I'm sure you are extremely busy, maybe you could draw the Greek Gods/Goddess's or something? At least the major ones, because you do a very good job at themed works. Just a suggestion, but love all of your arts, very well done. And I give you kudos for your patience- I can barely make a lineart with enough patience. XD
